Sachin’s Dream Home

19-A, Perry Cross Street is the new address of the Indian Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar. His long cherished dream of possessing his own house is now not a dream. He shifted from his old residence in La Mer Housing Society in Bandra to the 6,000 square feet bungalow on the first day of Navratri. The 'gruha-shanti' and 'vastu-puja' was done in June this year before he left for England. It is reported that the bungalow was constructed on a plot that he bought for Rs.39 crore in 2007.

The five-storeyed house has been made secure with high-walled fencing to avoid curious onlookers and special CCTV cameras and sensors were also installed. The design of the bungalow is done according to the likes and dislikes of Sachin. The three storeys are above the ground and the rest two are basement. The first basement consists of kitchen, servant quarters and master surveillance room. The other basement has been kept for car parking where several cars can be parked at the same time.

According to reports, Sachin and his wife is likely to have their bedroom on the top floor. The rooms of their two children, son Arjun and daughter Sara, is likely to be in the first floor. The ground floor consists of a large drawing room with separate dining space and a temple for Lord Ganesh. The drawing room has special display area where Sachin's innumerable medals and trophies would be kept. The main attraction of the house is a swimming pool located on the terrace.
